SSF Young Leaders

What is it?

A person centred, volunteer programme that empowers young people to take on leadership roles and become positive role models in their communities. Young Leaders will be provided with opportunities to learn new skills and gain formal qualifications through sport and physical activity.

Why we do it

Communities across Scotland depend on young volunteers to provide grassroots sport, physical activity, and youth work to other young people. We support young leaders to become positive role models to their peers, as well as tailoring the programme to meet the specific needs of each volunteer. Personal development is at the very core of this programme to help young people realise their own potential.

Who is it for?

Our Young Leaders programme runs across Glasgow, North Ayrshire, Fife and Stirling. If you are aged 12 – 25, have an interest in sport and/or youth work, and are looking to volunteer in your local community and at events across Scotland, there are various roles and opportunities available to you through SSF Young Leaders.
