It’s Scottish Disability Sport Week, and we want to take this opportunity to share how we’re working towards becoming inclusive by design.
At SSF we pride ourselves on being a trauma informed, person centred, needs based, outcome focused organisation. We’re on a journey to become as inclusive as we can, having had some success by gaining our Disability Confident Committed employer status. That’s why we’ve teamed up with Scottish Disability Sport (SDS) to review our Education and Training services.
SSF Tutors are noticing that increasingly we are delivering our SSF Education and Training modules to individuals and groups with additional support needs, and we want to ensure our tutors have the best possible resources and training to support everyone who takes part in our modules.
SDS are currently completing a peer review of our modules, and associated training resources and we will work closely with them to create a list of recommendations to improve the inclusivity of our Education and Training services.
